Children's Book Outlet started off with a simple idea - our founder, Lloyd Mensah, wanted to create a business that would make children's books so affordable that it would turn children all over the UK and around the world into little book people. The vision was to nurture a love for reading in children that would last a lifetime. In 2017 Lloyd started the business by selling cheap children's books at book fares and sales grew and grew. As the little book people that Lloyd encountered at the fares demanded more and more quality children's books, Lloyd had to change strategy - shifting all of these amazing children's books around was becoming hard work. In 2019, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, our website was born. This made it easy for all of those little book people to order books from the comfort of their homes and also saved Lloyd from carrying all of those heavy books. The website has grown from strength to strength ever since.
