Learning to Read With Biff Chip and Kipper

The Biff Chip and Kipper series of books by Oxford Reading Tree are great for home schooling and books are carefully levelled in line with reading expectations at curriculum level. They are also invaluable as an additional support for parents to help support and boost children’s reading skills outside of school hours.

Biff, Chip and Kipper have been helping children to read since 1986 and these book sets have stood the test of time for over 30 years because children love the content and individual books meet all the criteria in helping develop reading skills. The story content is funny and phonic patterns are repeated throughout each book to embed learning. Illustrations help children use picture cues to decode words they are not sure of. Nonetheless, the series is suitably challenging and children love to push themselves to reach the next book band in the series (see below).
